Landscape Technician - Foreperson

Are you passionate about maintaining award-winning landscapes and outdoor living spaces? As the leader of our Landscape Maintenance team, you’ll play a key role in the success of our division, ensuring efficient and timely completion of landscape maintenance sites. You’ll oversee lawn and garden maintenance, tree and shrub pruning, fertilization, aeration, and organic pest management, while mentoring and developing your team.

Plus, you’ll have the chance to earn your Red Seal certification in Landscape Horticulture.

Job Duties:

Manage safety, quality, and productivity at sites and/or shop/yard

Oversee lawn and garden maintenance, seasonal planting, and landscape renovations

Set time-bound goals for maintenance crews and monitor progress

Mentor and guide direct reports, resolve conflicts, and manage daily tasks

Ensure adherence to production standards and provide feedback for improvement

Maintain landscape environments, shop, and equipment

Comply with all safety and company policies

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

At least 3 years’ experience in landscape horticulture and maintenance

Red Seal Horticulture Certification or similar training

Desire to obtain Red Seal certification

Strong plant knowledge and experience in plant care

Competent in the use of power tools (pruners, mowers, trimmers, etc.)

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Valid driver’s license (preferred)

Salary: $32 - $39 per hour (based on experience)
