Position: Analytical Chemistry Analyst at ALS
Elevate your career with ALS as an Analytical Chemistry Analyst focusing on Spectroscopy and ICP-MS. This role combines independent analytical work with a commitment to quality and safety.

In this role at ALS, you will be responsible for rigorous analyses of geological samples, employing AAS, ICP‑AES, and ICP-MS technologies. Your expertise in identifying and solving QC issues, along with creating detailed reports using Microsoft Office, will be critical to our operations. You will prioritize workloads while ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and maintain high-quality standards in a collaborative lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage routine and innovative sample analyses

• Operate and maintain ICP-MS and related equipment

• Compile and evaluate data using instrument software

• Document findings and generate reports with MS Word and Excel

• Follow SOPs and maintain laboratory safety standards

Requirements:

• Relevant Science degree or diploma, Chemistry preferred

• At least 1 year of lab experience in analytical chemistry

• Strong analytical and mechanical capabilities

• Excellent written and verbal English communication

• Physically able to lift 20-litre containers and perform repetitive tasks
