The position focuses on monitoring and enhancing safety in Squamish Nation communities. You will observe safety concerns, connect individuals to supportive services, and participate in emergency planning activities. This role emphasizes trauma-informed practices and encourages respectful engagement with community members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor community areas for safety issues

• Document incidents like trespassing or property damage

• Act as a contact for community service information

• Facilitate traffic control and assistance during events

• Prepare accurate reports of community engagements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience in basic security or first aid preferred

• Strong ability to de-escalate conflicts

• Good understanding of Squamish Nation culture

• Valid BC Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle
