As an Auxiliary member of the Community Safety Team, you will maintain safety and well-being by conducting visible patrols and supporting community members. Responsibilities include documenting safety concerns, connecting individuals to resources, and providing assistance during events and emergencies. Your presence will foster a safe environment through visible, trauma-informed support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol Squamish Nation communities, including housing and cultural sites
• Document and report safety concerns like vandalism and trespassing
• Serve as a contact point for community support and information
• Assist in traffic control and parking enforcement activities
• Contribute to emergency planning and response efforts
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Training in security, first aid, or traffic control preferred
• Strong communication skills for engaging diverse community members
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts respectfully
• Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
Strengthen community safety and support through effective patrols and proactive engagement with Squamish Nation.
