Position: Security Guard – Tactical Response (AST Certified)
Location: West Vancouver

Securiguard is currently seeking experienced, dependable, and motivated Security Professionals to join our team in Swartz Bay. Horseshoe Bay, BCPay Rate: $25.75 /hr

Employment Type:

Casual / On-Call – 8-hour shifts Responsibilities Ensure the safety and security of the site, passengers, employees, and members of the public.

Maintain a visible and professional security presence to support a safe and secure environment.

Conduct regular patrols, security checks, lock-up/unlock procedures, and routine inspections.

Respond to security incidents, disturbances, emergencies, and other operational concerns.

Utilize appropriate de-escalation and control techniques to gain compliance when necessary and in accordance with training and procedures.

Engage with the public to provide assistance, direction, and exceptional customer service.

Operate communication equipment, including two-way radios, and escalate incidents when required.

Identify, report, and assist in mitigating safety and security hazardsplete clear and accurate incident reports and other required documentation.

Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in varying weather conditions.

Requirements Valid BC Security Worker Licence.

Valid Advanced Security Training (AST) certification.

OFA Intermediate certification (OFA
2).EST certification is required.

Excellent communication, customer service, conflict resolution, and de-escalation skillsfortable using radio communication and other security equipment.

Ability to write clear and accurate reports on job-related activities and incidents.

Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to challenging or high-pressure situationsfortable working independently and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Must be punctual, reliable, and able to consistently report for scheduled shifts.

Flexible availability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays as required.

As this is a casual/on-call position, candidates must be available to support operational coverage based on scheduling needs.
