Operations Manager
Salary: $170k to $200k. Salary negotiable for the right candidate. RRSP Matching Plan, Robust Benefits Plan. Projects in Vancouver and Lower Mainland.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. The Senior Project Manager may oversee more than one project at a time and have general oversight and input on all projects outside their assigned tasks. They will assist in the leadership and mentorship of the organization’s project management team.
Key Responsibilities- Managing all phases of construction projects
- Assist the Development Team in design development and constructability review in a vertically integrated project.
- Defines the scope, goals, and deliverables of projects.
- Leads the planning and implementation of the project, client, and consultant coordination.
- Develops and monitors full‑scale project plans.
- Manages budget and resource allocation throughout the life of the project including human resources.
- Tender and award scopes of work using pre‑approved subcontracts.
The successful candidate will be a strong project manager, possesses analytical problem‑solving skills, be a clear communicator with strong writing skills, have a customer focused approach to their work with an ability to adapt their style, re‑prioritize effectively and respond to change positively.
Qualifications- 10+ years of construction experience, preferably multi‑family
- 5+ years of experience in wood frame, residential construction, or 5+ years in Concrete Tower (Mid‑highrise)
- At least 10 years of direct work experience in construction project management
- A post‑secondary degree or diploma in construction, building technology or engineering.
- A Gold Seal Constructor or PMP designation; or are working towards it.
- Proven ability to lead a project and support staff
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel, Word and Pro Core
- Understand the fundamentals of contract administration
- Knowledge of OH&S regulations and related building codes is essential
- Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods
- Highly effective in negotiation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills
