An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Manager to join a highly regarded Top 20 accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA-qualified auditor looking to join a progressive firm offering a high-quality client portfolio, genuine career progression and a collaborative working environment.
The role offers responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, and working closely with partners to deliver exceptional client service.
What you will be doing as an Audit ManagerAs an Audit Manager, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, ensuring audit engagements are delivered efficiently, on time and to the highest professional standards.
- Managing a portfolio of audit clients, ranging from SMEs to larger, more complex organisations.
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Working closely with audit partners to deliver high-quality client service.
- Managing audit budgets, timelines and resource planning.
- Reviewing audit work and ensuring compliance with auditing standards and firm procedures.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser.
- Supporting the delivery of statutory accounts and general practice work where required.
- Identifying commercial opportunities and providing proactive advice to clients.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing junior members of the audit team.
- Supporting partners with client development and the continued growth of the audit department.
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Significant audit experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- Current role with a strong audit focus (50%+).
- Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients from SMEs through to larger businesses.
- Exposure to general practice work, including statutory accounts preparation.
- Strong client relationship management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- A confident, professional and commercially minded approach.
- Experience supporting partners and leading client engagements.
- An ambitious mindset with a desire to progress within a leading accountancy practice.
