Our client, an established independent dealership in Northallerton, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator to join their professional onsite bodyshop team. • Competitive basic salary up to £45,000, dependent on experience
• OTE of up to £50,000, based on individual performance and productivity
• Working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 5PM
• No weekend work required

• Conduct detailed inspections of damaged vehicles to accurately assess repair needs
• Document vehicle conditions through comprehensive reports and photographic evidence
• Evaluate repair estimates, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency
• Communicate findings effectively to customers, insurers, and repair teams
• Review and verify repair estimates for completeness and adherence to standards
• Identify additional damages and recommend appropriate repair strategies
• Ensure all assessments comply with industry standards and safety regulations
• Assist in post-repair inspections to verify repair quality
• Support the claims process and negotiate where necessary
• Utilise specialised tools and software, including Audatex, for damage assessments
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inspections and communications
• Manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines and customer expectations
• Stay informed on industry regulations, repair techniques, and assessment best practices

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator in an automotive bodyshop environment
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Audatex software
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Good communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with customers, insurers, and colleagues
• Ability to produce comprehensive and accurate damage reports
• Awareness of current industry standards and safety regulations
• Capable of managing multiple assessments within tight deadlines
• Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and repair standards
