Base pay rangeAt Learn With SAT, we are looking for inspiring Core Subject Tutors who want to go beyond the classroom and tailor learning to fit the unique needs and interests of an exceptional student. We specialise in EOTAS tuition, and are looking for an experienced SEND tutor who is looking for an out-of-the-box teaching role, where no two days are the same.
A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role. Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.
Hours:
Up to 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within the hours of 12 pm - 4 pm.
Why This Role is Special:
You'll have the opportunity to craft bespoke curriculums that align with the students' preferred learning style and passions. These will be child-led, innovative learning experiences that bridge gaps and spark joy in education! Our young person will have experienced school‑based trauma, so we're looking for teachers who can support a student to re‑engage in education in a safe learning environment.
Tutors will need to have experience of a pupil with a PDA profile and have a flexible and child‑centred approach.
This isn't just teaching – it's about creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where a neurodivergent adolescent can thrive. Using low-demand strategies, you'll bring your expertise and creativity to help the student flourish at their own pace, outside traditional classroom constraints.
What You'll Do- Design and deliver tailored lessons during the requested hours (Monday-Friday, term time only). Evenings and weekends are not appropriate.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the student's holistic development, through written and verbal mediums.
- Inspire progress with empathy, patience, and expertise in SEND education.
- At least 2 years' experience teaching KS3 curriculum.
- A background in working with neurodivergent adolescents.
- Experience inside or outside traditional education settings, in an alternative provision or on EOTAS packages.
- A proven ability to adapt and innovate in your teaching style to meet the outcomes of an EHCP.
- A minimum of a BSc/BA in your subject area.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A genuine love for seeing students thrive and progress.
- A full, clean driver's license and access to a car.
- Safeguarding training (Level 1 or higher).
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
