About this Role
Here at Mill Hill Primary School we are seeking to appoint a General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive team in Northallerton. Mill Hill Primary is a vibrant school with 236 children from ages 2-11, and we run a one class per year group structure. We are based in the heart of Northallerton and our community links are very important to us.
Staff work very well as a team and we are a warm, welcoming and inclusive school – no two days are ever the same!
The purpose of this post is to support learning both within classrooms and in our Thrive room. The post will involve working 1:1 with pupils with SEN (under the direction of the SENCO/class teachers and other appropriate staff), small group intervention work and some more general classroom support activities. We have a supportive team who will provide training and support as you get to know our school and our pupils.

- Hours of Work: 32.5 Hours Per Week, Term Time Only (39 Weeks Per Year), 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday (30 minutes lunch break)

- Travel Required:
No - Salary: dependent on current qualifications and experience (please see attached job description for more information). An honorarium payment of £1260 per annum is available for the SEN responsibilities.
