We have an excellent opportunity to join our Music Service team as an Instrumental Instructor teaching piano.

The Music Service team whole-class instrumental teaching, which is payable on the Qualified Teacher Pay Scale for those holding QTS.
About the roleThe role involves working across a range of educational settings throughout North Yorkshire, delivering instrumental tuition for piano to children both individually and in small group sessions.
In this role, you will plan and deliver lessons throughout the academic year, assess pupil progress, and provide regular feedback to parents/carers and schools.
Delivery of the lessons will be- East Coast – 1 day
- Selby – 2.5 days
- Harrogate – 1.5 days
- Northallerton/Richmond – 2 days
- Effective teaching strategies for instrumental music
- Experience using a range of musical resources
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in music/performance.
- Strong knowledge of instrumental repertoire and teaching strategies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel across the county and work flexibly, including evenings/weekends.
