Note – Positions are available in Northallerton, Selby and Scarborough. Due to the new ‘Experts at Hand funding’ we have excellent opportunities for ‘Inclusion Practitioners’ to join our existing, established, Inclusion Hubs within North Yorkshire.

About the service

The Education and Inclusion Service works in partnership with all schools and settings within North Yorkshire to promote the inclusion, participation and achievement of children and young people with SEND.About the Role With support from the senior teacher/specialist you will support and advise schools, settings and parents/ carers in Determining the nature and underlying causes of a child’s needs, and their areas of strength and interest.

You will develop skills and confidence in families, settings and schools to effectively meet the needs of children with SEND, attendance barriers and vulnerabilities, including supporting across transitions, supporting access to the curriculum and class activities.

Key elements:

- · Provide appropriate, individually tailored support, advice and early intervention for CYP on caseload.
· Contribute to reports, reviews and re-assessments as required
· To work as part of a co-operative locality hub team based on flexible approaches
· Effectively support schools, families and young people to access appropriate provision and resources to remove barriers to attendance
· Work within the boundaries and ethos of school/service policies and procedures
· Prioritise and manage own workload within the boundaries of the role, and as advised by professional lead

You should have up to date knowledge of specialist area (Health Needs, Attendance and Engagement) and the impact of this on CYP’s development in all areas, and how this may manifest in school, home and community
