Job Description

Yorkshire Trading Company is a growing family owned business with 36 stores across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East, a busy e‑commerce operation, and outdoor events teams trading nationwide. Due to continued growth we have an opportunity for two Retail Store Supervisors to join the team in our Northallerton store.

32 hours over 4 days, including some weekends on a rota basis.

• Assist the store manager in day‑to‑day running of the store.
• Deputise during the store manager’s absence (key holder).
• Support management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and the replenishment team on the shop floor.
• Work on store displays, stock rotation and put‑away.
• Keep up to date with all products, services and promotions.
• Handle customer questions, complaints and issues.
• Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters, suggesting items and delivering great, traditional customer service.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform cashing‑up duties as required.
• Ensure pricing is correct.
• Maintain tidy time (timekeeping).

• Previous supervisory or people‑management experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Some retail experience required.
• Knowledge of cashing‑up procedures is advantageous.
• Computer literate.
• Desire to achieve and deliver high standards.
