The Planning & Logistics Supervisor will oversee and manage logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the manufacturing sector. The role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of supporting operations and ensuring timely delivery of goods in Northallerton.

This 9-month FTC opportunity is with a well-established manufacturing business. As a medium-sized company, they focus on delivering high-quality products and services to their clients while maintaining efficient operational processes.
Description
Supervise logistics operations to ensure seamless daily operations.
Oversee the coordination of shipments, ensuring on-time delivery to clients.
Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory control.
Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any logistical issues.
Develop and implement strategies to optimise logistics processes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Prepare and present reports on logistics performance metrics.
Support team development by providing training and guidance where needed Profile
A successful Planning & Logistics Supervisor should have:
Experience in import/export and logistics environments.
Strong cross collaboration skills with the ability to manage and support multiple departments.
Previous experience within transport, 3PL and fleet operations.
Proven knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in logistics software.
A strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
Job Offer
Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000.
Fixed-term contract of 40 hours per week until March 2027.
23 days holiday + bank
