HPA Healthcare is seeking two Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologists for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Northampton, Massachusetts.

This assignment offers an attractive Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no call responsibilities. Physicians practice independently and may be assigned to the operating room or endoscopy.

The case mix includes general surgery, plastics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, endoscopy, and healthy pediatric cases.

• Independent anesthesia practice
• OR and Endoscopy assignments
• Adult and healthy pediatric patients
• Broad surgical case mix
• Regional anesthesia strongly preferred
• Opportunity to perform a variety of blocks
• Pediatric block skills desired
• Epic EMR
• BC/BE accepted
• Long-term, consistent scheduling

• Provide independent anesthesia care
• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations
• Develop and execute anesthesia plans
• Provide general anesthesia
• Provide regional anesthesia as clinically appropriate
• Manage patients throughout the perioperative period
• Provide anesthesia for OR and Endoscopy procedures
• Provide anesthesia for healthy pediatric patients
• Perform regional blocks, including pediatric blocks as appropriate
• Manage approximately 16–20 cases/day when assigned to Endoscopy
• Complete clinical documentation in Epic
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative teams

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active Massachusetts medical license
• Massachusetts DEA
• ACLS
• BLS
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Comfortable practicing independently
• Adult and healthy pediatric anesthesia experience
• Ability to commit at least 3 weeks/month
• Regional anesthesia skills strongly preferred
