Geo - Environmental Engineer

An opportunity to has arisen to join a growing team of geotechnical and environmental engineers based in Northamptonshire. My client is looking for a geo-environmental engineer with previous UK based experience.

Full time position

• Working as a geo-environmental / geotechnical professional with previous experience
• Working both outside and office based throughout the year
• Applicants will be expected to work on site in varying locations around the UK
• Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling
• Participating in a variety of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects for both external clients and for other teams
• Writing all types of factual and interpretative Reports (Desk study, ground investigation, earthworks, remediation strategies, CMRAs)
• Site supervision of ground investigations, earthworks and construction activities
• Collating geological/geotechnical data and report writing
• Managing site activities and subcontractors, writing RAMS and liaising with clients

• Minimum BSc in geology, geography or environmental science related degree
• Previous industry experience as a Geo-environmental/geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist / site engineer
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word. Use of holebase desirable
• Must hold a full clean driving licence.
• Must be prepared to travel UK wide and stay away from home on occasion.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Have good written English skill
• Enjoy working outside as well as in an office environment
