Essential Functions
- Manage and respond to requests by end users to address problems experienced with the AV in classrooms, meeting and event spaces.
- Follow CEMS and ITS guideline for responding to use requests in ticketing systems.
- Troubleshoot AV issues and repair where possible.
- Evaluate complex AV problems and make suggestions for upgrades or changes as needed.
- Provide interim working solution in spaces where an immediate fix is not possible.
- In consultation with the AV Systems Specialist and end users; make recommendations on AV system designs.
- Install AV equipment for classroom, meeting space and event space venues, as needed.
- Ensure systems adhere to ITS standards and address user needs.
- Evaluate current systems and new designs to assure they meet user needs and provide input into overall AV systems design.
- Maintain records inventory and other system as needed, following best practices.
- Provide training to end users and AV support team.
- Assist with end-user documentation for newly installed AV systems, as well as temporary fixes in spaces with AV issues that cannot be quickly resolved.
- Coordinate activities and provide backup support to Class and Event Support.
- Participate in cross-team projects and perform other duties as required.
- Maintain professional skills by attending conferences, workshops and trade shows.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
5 or more years of experience with direct experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting audiovisual and sound systems, including microphone setup.
Required Certification(s)AV Installation certifications
Knowledge ofStrong knowledge of classroom technologies, including computers, projectors, sound systems, and control systems.
SkillsExcellent communication, team‑building, presentation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate’s Degree
Preferred Certification(s)Extron Programming
Knowledge ofExperience in Higher Education environments.
CompensationIn addition to a competitive benefits package, pay for this role is typically between $27.17 - $33.21 hourly covering the middle half of market compensation. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications.
