adi Facilities Engineering Multi‑Skilled Technician

Location – Northampton

Hours – Continental Shifts

About the Role

A Facilities Technician will be part of a key client site’s facilities team, supporting non‑core engineering and operations. Your tasks include planning and coordinating daily maintenance repairs and scheduled services, as well as overseeing adi‑appointed contractors for outsourced maintenance. This multi‑skilled role requires a strong emphasis on electrical or mechanical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hands‑on maintenance and operation of utility equipment and control systems.
  • Maintain pipe systems and related equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and waste management.
  • Undertake planned, reactive and corrective maintenance effectiveness and review Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis to optimise plant and machinery efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements.
  • Use CMMS.
  • Communicate effectively with both the Client and your team.
  • Contribute to minor project work.
  • About you

    We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Extensive experience in a facilities maintenance technician position or related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical or electrical engineering and familiarity with HVAC systems is highly advantageous and will be considered desirable.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
