Job Description
Job Title: Qualified Audit Senior / Experienced Part-Qualified Audit Semi-Senior
Salary: £40,000+ per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Northampton
Working Hours: Flexible, Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
OverviewOur client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Qualified Audit Senior or experienced part-qualified Audit Semi-Senior to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to take a leading position in delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse portfolio of SME clients across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion for a varied client base
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior team members, ensuring high standards of delivery
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with regulatory and professional requirements
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout engagements
- Take a lead role in auditing groups of companies, including consolidated financial statements
- Work closely with senior team members to ensure group accounts are accurate and compliant
- Gain hands‑on experience in complex group structures and reporting requirements
- Prepare financial statements, including consolidated accounts
- Prepare and review corporation tax computations
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations and deadlines
- Contribute to advisory assignments and specialist projects
- Support clients with accounting and tax‑related queries
- Develop a broad understanding of accounting and taxation across multiple sectors
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part‑qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in audit within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
- Experience with group audits and consolidated accounts is advantageous
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
