Accounts Manager Stamford (Hybrid) £50,000 - £63,000 A well-established Top 40 accountancy practice is seeking an Accounts Manager to join its Stamford office. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of clients within a supportive and collaborative environment, working with businesses ranging from sole traders and partnerships to charities and limited companies. The firm offers a broad and technically varied workload alongside genuine opportunities for professional development and long-term career progression.

Role Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring the timely completion and submission of financial statements and tax returns. Build and maintain strong client relationships, including attending client meetings and acting as a trusted point of contact. Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, charities and limited companies. Produce year-end accounts in accordance with relevant accounting standards. Monitor workflow, ensuring work is completed efficiently, within budgets and deadlines.

Support the planning and allocation of work across the team, taking resourcing requirements into account. Assist with the development and mentoring of junior team members. Prepare schedules for tax returns. Complete VAT returns. Ensure work is delivered to a high professional standard and in line with relevant accounting guidelines. Personal Requirements ACA or ACCA qualified. Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.

Strong general practice experience across accounts and tax compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good IT skills. Strong organisational and administrative abilities. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Full ability to travel to client premises and between offices when required.
