Adapro Talent Partners are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a growing PE Backed SME who are looking to recruit a Part Time Finance Assistant on an initial 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Based at their HQ in Northamptonshire, the Finance Assistant will support the Financial Controller with the following responsibilities:

* Managing the purchase ledger from invoice processing through to payment

* Dealing confidently and professionally with supplier queries

* Preparing and processing supplier payment runs

* Processing and managing employee expenses

* Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register (FAR)

* Maintaining and reconciling prepayments

* Preparing VAT returns

* Preparing and submitting CIS returns

* Understanding and applying CIS and DRC rules where applicable

* Assisting with PSA preparation

* Preparing P11

Ds

* Managing employee P46 (car) requirements

* Supporting month-end processes and reporting

* Assisting with year-end requirements and providing information to accountants/auditors as required

* Supporting the finance team with process improvements and new systems

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is confident working independently, has strong attention to detail and is comfortable taking ownership of their work. The company is currently going through a period of growth, change and development, including changes to systems, processes and ways of working, so we need someone who can hit the ground running.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, organised and conscientious, with the ability to manage their workload, meet deadlines and identify issues before they become problems.

* Able to work independently and take ownership for their work

* Proactive rather than waiting to be told what to do

* Comfortable investigating discrepancies and finding solutions

* Flexible and adaptable, particularly around new systems and processes

* Quick to learn new systems and ways of working

* Good communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and colleagues

* Professional, discreet and trustworthy when dealing with confidential financial information

* Comfortable working in a growing business where processes may continue to evolve

This role will be Part-time, and there is a degree of flexibility around the working pattern, however our client would ideally like shorter hours Monday-Friday, although we will also consider someone looking to work 3 days per week.

The Salary on offer is £40,000 Pro-Rata for the Part Time Working Week
