Competitive, dependent on experience Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary (2 Months) Potential for Permanent Employment About the Role Our client, a busy and well-established healthcare organisation, is seeking an experienced and professional Medical Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis for an initial period of 2 months . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills to work within a fast-paced medical environment, with the possibility of securing a permanent position.
The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive administrative and reception support service, ensuring patients, clinicians and healthcare professionals receive an efficient, professional and confidential service at all times.
Key Responsibilities Deliver a high-quality reception and administrative service to patients and healthcare professionals. Manage incoming correspondence, electronic documents and clinical information. Process and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and data integrity. Support patient registration processes and update demographic information. Assist with repeat prescription administration in line with practice procedures. Manage clinical email inboxes and workflow systems. Input and code relevant clinical information onto patient management systems.
Handle telephone enquiries professionally and efficiently. Assist with chronic disease management recall programmes. Process requests for medical records and reports in accordance with data protection and confidentiality requirements. Provide general administrative support, including scanning, filing and document management. Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. About You The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a medical, healthcare or GP practice administration role. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy. Experience using patient management or clinical systems would be advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment. A professional, confidential and patient-focused approach. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
