Job Title – Buyer – Indirect Procurement (B2B & B2C Channels)

Role OverviewThe Buyer – Indirect Procurement will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring non‑production goods and services that support both B2B and B2C channels, including e‑commerce, auction and private sales, and wider commercial operations.
The role focuses on optimising total cost of ownership, service levels and compliance across indirect spend categories while enabling growth and efficiency in all sales channels.
The Buyer will manage end‑to‑end indirect procurement for both B2B and B2C activities, ensuring value for money, risk management and strong supplier performance across shared and channel‑specific needs. Key internal customers will include marketing, e‑commerce, operations, IT, finance, sales and retail teams supporting business clients and end consumers.
Key Responsibilities- Source, evaluate and procure indirect goods and services (e.g. marketing and creative agencies, packaging and print, logistics and couriers, events, IT/SaaS, office supplies, facilities and professional services) that support both BTB and BTC channels.
- Translate briefs from internal stakeholders (Retail Product, Marketing, E‑commerce, Sales, Operations) across BTB and BTC into clear RFQs/RFPs and supplier‑ready specifications with defined SLAs and KPIs.
- Own the procurement of all indirect spend linked to BTB and BTC channels, ensuring alignment to preferred suppliers, frameworks and approval processes.
- Deliver cost and value improvements through competitive sourcing, benchmarking and negotiation, tracking savings across both BTB and BTC budgets.
- Conduct supplier selection, contract negotiation and performance reviews, using scorecards and KPIs relevant to both business clients and consumer‑facing operations.
- Optimise inbound and outbound logistics and fulfilment costs by working with 3PLs and courier partners serving BTB customers (e.g. wholesale, partners) and BTC consumers (e.g. webstore, marketplaces).
- Work with finance and analytics to ensure POs for BTB and BTC activities are accurate, correctly coded to cost centres, and reflect updated delivery dates and forecasts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across BTB account management and BTC trading teams to align sourcing plans with commercial calendars, launches and campaigns.
- Continuously assess and develop the indirect supplier base, identifying opportunities to leverage common suppliers across BTB and BTC while managing channel‑specific risks.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract management standards and delegated authorities for all indirect spend, minimising off‑contract purchasing.
- Prepare and maintain all procurement documentation, contracts, MSAs, SOWs and supplier records relevant to BTB and BTC activities.
- Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role with significant focus on indirect categories, ideally supporting both BTB (B2B) and BTC (consumer) channels in retail, e‑commerce or related sectors.
- Strong grasp of indirect procurement, contract negotiation, supplier performance management and total cost of ownership for services and non‑production goods.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to interpret spend data and build business cases across multiple channels.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple stakeholders and projects across BTB and BTC simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Proficiency in procurement and ERP systems (e.g. ERP/Net Suite) and Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills for spend and savings analysis.
- Interest in motorsports and related industries is advantageous
