We are seeking an experienced and driven Key Account Manager to join our B2B sales team, focusing on supplying high‑quality products to the food manufacturing, processing, and food service sectors. In this role, you'll take ownership of strategic accounts, develop long‑term partnerships, and drive commercial growth across a dynamic and fast‑paced market.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves building relationships, understanding complex customer needs, and delivering solutions that add real value to the food industry.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow a portfolio of major B2B accounts within the food sector.
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships with key decision‑makers, including procurement, NPD, operations, and category teams.
- Identify growth opportunities, upsell product ranges, and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Deliver annual sales targets and account plans aligned to business objectives.
- Provide market insights, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback to inform strategy and product development.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing, supply chain, technical, and product development.
- Monitor account performance, prepare forecasts, and ensure operational excellence in service delivery.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, site visits, trade events, and industry exhibitions.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within the food industry, food ingredients, packaging, or related sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build long‑term relationships and navigate complex customer structures.
- Comfortable working strategically while managing multiple priorities.
- Curious, proactive, and motivated by delivering customer‑focused solutions.
- Full UK driving licence (or equivalent) and willingness to travel to customer sites.
