Wedding Conference & Events Coordinator – Sedgebrook Hall, Northampton
Full‑time / Permanent – £28,828 per annum.
The role:
We are recruiting a dedicated Weddings, Conference & Events Coordinator to work full‑time (40 hours per week) at Sedgebrook Hall (The Venues Collection). This role involves coordinating weddings, conferences, events, and meetings, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Meet with clients to discuss their wedding or event vision and preferences.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the planning process, including contract negotiation and budget management.
- Create and maintain detailed timelines and checklists to keep tasks on schedule.
- Communicate with the wedding or event party to ensure they are informed and comfortable with the plan.
- Handle unexpected issues or emergencies that may arise during the planning process.
- Manage confirmed bookings and coordinate information for handover to the operational team.
- Provide high‑level customer care, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with efficiently and in line with company guidelines.
- Support the smooth operation of the sales office by documenting and delivering a professional sales service.
- Proactively research past and present companies and events.
- Handle a high volume of enquiries and respond in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate flexibility and dedication to all types of sales enquiries.
- Relevant Opera S&C experience preferred but not essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident decision‑maker.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Team player with ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Excellent multitasking ability, quick thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Diplomatic and discreet, capable of managing customer feedback and complaint handling.
- Self‑starter with humour, motivation ability and “can‑do” attitude.
- Excellent ambassadorial representation of the business.
- Willingness to work occasional weekends due to wedding schedules.
Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday support when required.
Working hours:
8‑hour days between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
