Responsible for answering emergency 999 calls and non‑emergency 101 calls, providing public advice and guidance, risk‑assessing incidents, allocating and dispatching the appropriate resources, and ensuring incidents are resolved correctly.

Core pattern: 4 on 4 off (two 12‑hour days followed by two 12‑hour nights). Other shift patterns are available with reduced shift enhancement. Competitive starting salary of £30,333 (full time, part time per rota). Additional shift enhancement depends on shift pattern. Annual leave entitlement is 25 days, increased by 5 days after 3 years continuous service.
