Nursery Manager – £750 Welcome Perk

Pay range: £33,072 per year (based on experience) – 40 hours per week.
Working hours: 37.5–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, flexible shifts.

- Lead, manage, and inspire the nursery team to deliver high‑quality care and education.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating environment for all‑round development of each child.
- Build relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Oversee operations: staff schedules, budgets, health & safety, compliance.
- Mentor and foster continuous improvement, supporting the professional development of staff.
- Promote The Old Station Nursery ethos and values in daily practice.
- Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Lead inspections and maintain accurate records to ensure EYFS and Ofsted compliance.
- Proven managerial experience in a childcare setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team‑motivating skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and passion for children’s development.
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or higher (no sponsorship available).
Little Houghton Day Nursery offers a nurturing, rural environment across three rooms: baby (0‑2), toddler (2‑3), and preschool (3‑5). It is located near St Mary the Virgin church and is well connected by bus.
