Position: Catpillar 963 Operator

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in the midlands, normally within an hour of Northampton for a Catpillar 963 Operator at Carmac Building & Civil Engineering Ltd. Responsibilities include operating the Catpillar 963 excavator for groundwork and civil engineering projects, maintaining machinery, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and contributing to the successful completion of projects. The operator will work closely with the supervision team to ensure operations run efficiently and safely, adhering to the company’s high standards.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in operating a Catpillar 963 excavator, with valid and up-to-date CPCS certification
  • Experience in groundwork and civil engineering tasks, including earthmoving and excavation
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and site safety practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance
  • Flexibility to work on-site across various project locations, primarily within the East Midlands region
  • Previous experience in the construction or civil engineering industry is preferred
  • A reliable and proactive approach to work and problem-solving skills
