Surveyor - Disabled Facilities
Job Type: 12 Months contract (likely to extend)
Location:
North Northamptonshire / Hybrid
Rate of pay: FROM Paye £25.50 / £49,000per annum or Umbrella £35ph
Our client, a highly regarded organisation within the housing and property sector, is seeking an experienced Disabled Facilities (DFG) Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveying professional with experience in housing adaptations, private sector housing, or grant-funded improvement works to play a key role in delivering life-changing adaptations that enable residents to live safely and independently in their homes.
Main duties include, but not limited to:
Undertake property surveys and prepare detailed specifications, schedules of work, technical drawings, and cost estimates.
Liaise with Occupational Therapists, architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure projects progress efficiently.
Obtain and evaluate contractor quotations and tenders, making recommendations where appropriate.
Carry out final inspections and manage defect resolution during defect liability periods.
Requirements to be successful:
Experience with in a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG), Housing Adaptations, Private Sector Housing, Building Surveying, or related environment.
Knowledge of adaptation works for disabled and vulnerable residents
HNC/HND or Degree in Building Surveying, Construction, or a related discipline.
