Salary: £47,000
Location: Northampton

Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading housing provider to recruit a Large Project Surveyor.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering asset investment and capital works programmes across a residential portfolio. Reporting to the Asset Investment Manager, you will be responsible for surveying properties, overseeing projects on site, and ensuring works are completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standard.

You will act as the client representative on site, working closely with contractors, residents, and internal teams to help maintain and improve homes.

• Carry out building and condition surveys across residential properties
• Undertake inspections relating to disrepair, Right to Buy, mutual exchange, and buy-back schemes
• Identify defects and produce reports with costings and practical recommendations
• Manage capital works and asset investment projects from planning through to completion
• Monitor contractor performance, site progress, quality, and compliance
• Prepare specifications, estimates, and technical reports
• Certify contractor payments and valuations
• Ensure all works meet building regulations, CDM requirements, and health & safety standards
• Respond to resident and stakeholder enquiries professionally and efficiently

• Previous experience in a Building Surveying role
• Strong technical knowledge of construction, maintenance, and defect diagnosis
• Background in housing, asset management, or capital projects
• Experience managing contractors and overseeing live site works
• Good understanding of compliance, health & safety, and relevant legislation
• Organised and commercially aware, with a focus on value for money
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Full UK driving licence
