Northampton + Site visits Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + £10,080 Car Allowance/Company Car + Bonus
An established and highly respected civil engineering contractor is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team based in Northampton. Delivering residential groundworks and infrastructure packages for many of the UK's leading house builders, the company has built an excellent reputation for quality, long-term client relationships and employee development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with residential groundworks experience who enjoys managing multiple live projects and wants to join a financially secure contractor with genuine opportunities for progression. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of several residential groundworks projects across the region.
Quantity Surveyor Salary & Benefits- £40,000 - £55,000 (DOE)

- Office & site-based role (hybrid between office and sites - no home working)
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential groundworks, ideally for a subcontractor
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (HNC/HND considered)
- Experience managing multiple live projects
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Valid CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Job Requirements
- Managing the commercial aspects of multiple residential groundworks projects
- Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management
- Subcontract procurement and commercial administration
- Site visits and liaison with project delivery teams
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Supporting value engineering initiatives
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Ensuring projects are delivered commercially and contractually
