Site Supervisor/NEBOSH Qualified Permit Controller

Location:

Northampton

Pay : £250 - £300

Duration: 2 Weeks

Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified Health & Safety Site Manager / Rope Access Supervisor for a dedicated 2-week fixed-term contract to oversee specialized rope access cleaning works on a major manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will take full operational and safety ownership of the project from inception to completion, managing everything from RAMS approval to the daily execution of high-risk permits.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safety Management:
Manage and enforce the Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) for the entirety of the cleaning project.

* Documentation & Approval:
Review, refine, and formally approve comprehensive Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

* Permit to Work (PTW):
Coordinate, issue, and manage high-risk permits utilizing the client's internal permit system (Carlsberg PTW experience highly advantageous).

* On-Site Supervision:
Provide full-time, dedicated on-site presence for the 2-week duration, conducting daily toolbox talks, managing exclusion zones, and monitoring dynamic site risks.

* Team Oversight:
Ensure the active rope access technicians work in strict accordance with IRATA guidelines and site-specific safety parameters.

Required Qualifications &

Experience:

* NEBOSH National General Certificate (or Construction Certificate) – Essential

* IRATA Level 3 Certification (Highly preferred / Essential if managing active rescues)

* SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely qualification

* Proven experience managing Permit to Work (PTW) systems within heavy industrial, food & beverage, or brewing environments

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to confidently interface between the client's site management and the contracting team
