We're looking for a Site Supervisor to join our North Northamptonshire Council team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. We're looking for an enthusiastic individual with a proven track record in supervising onsite maintenance and improvement schemes. You'll be working on a live public highway, promoting a human-focused approach to safety whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant SHEQ processes and procedures.,
Location:
Brixworth, Northamptonshire - site based 5 days per week
Hours:
Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us Salary: up to £40,000 per year + company van + excellent benefits

- Ensuring the health and safety of yourself, the workforce and the public in accordance with Kier processes and procedures
- Managing and administering construction works including footway reconstruction, carriageway resurfacing, drainage improvements and structures repairs
- Carrying out regular health and safety inspections, monitoring progress on site and communicating any issues to site managers
- Supporting the implementation of CDM duties and ensuring ongoing compliance with risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
- Inspecting quality of work in accordance with inspection test plans, scheme designs and specifications
- Hold relevant industry qualifications, including SSSTS or SMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor, 12D Lantra Traffic Management, Temporary Works Supervisor, and First Aid certification
- Possess a full UK driving licence and are willing to travel across sites as required
- Have proven experience supervising direct labour teams and civil engineering subcontractors within a construction, highways or infrastructure environment
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and people management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients and members of the public
- Have a solid understanding of civil engineering, resurfacing and structures works, alongside a strong knowledge of CDM regulations, health and safety standards, and safe systems of work
