We are recruiting for a Service Advisor to join a busy, modern independent garage in Northampton.

This role will suit either an experienced Service Advisor or someone from the motor trade with strong customer‑facing skills who is looking to develop further in a front‑of‑house position. The key is being organised, professional and confident dealing with customers while keeping things running smoothly between the front desk and workshop.

The role will involve:

• Greeting customers professionally and creating a positive first impression
• Booking vehicles in and out of the workshop
• Scheduling appointments and helping manage daily workshop flow
• Liaising with technicians to keep track of work in progress
• Updating customers clearly on repairs, servicing and timescales
• Preparing estimates and discussing recommended work with customers
• Identifying additional service or repair requirements where appropriate
• Making sure customers receive a professional and well‑managed experience throughout

We are looking for:

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, or a customer‑focused background within the motor trade
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good organisation and the ability to manage a busy workload
• Confidence dealing with customers in a professional way
• Automotive or mechanical knowledge would be an advantage
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
