* Make a difference where it matters. We’re looking for a proactive, customer-focused Housing Officer to join a Housing Team and help residents sustain their tenancies, resolve issues and enjoy safe, well-managed neighbourhoods. This is a varied role where no two days are the same . You’ll manage tenancy and neighbourhood cases, tackle rent arrears, support vulnerable residents and work closely with agencies including local authorities, police and community partners.
What you’ll be doing as a Housing Officer Managing tenancy, income and neighbourhood cases from start to resolution. Taking early action on rent arrears and supporting residents experiencing financial hardship. Investigating ASB, safeguarding, hate crime and domestic abuse sensitively and effectively. Supporting vulnerable residents and connecting them with specialist services. Helping maintain high standards across estates, communal areas and neighbourhoods. Building positive relationships with residents and external partners.
Handling complex cases and enforcement action where necessary. Keeping accurate records, meeting targets and continuously improving the customer experience. The right Housing Officer will have:
You’ll have experience delivering high-quality, customer-facing housing or estate management services , with a strong understanding of tenancy management, income collection and relevant housing legislation. You’ll be:
An excellent communicator and confident relationship builder. A practical problem solver who can assess situations and make sound decisions. Empathetic and confident working with vulnerable customers. Proactive, organised and able to manage competing priorities. A collaborative team player who takes ownership and follows things through. A CIH Level 3 Housing qualification is desirable, or you’ll be willing to work towards one.
