SEN Class Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to inspire and support students in an alternative provision setting. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant, innovative environment where every student is valued, and your ideas can make a lasting impact.

You will teach and support secondary-aged students with special educational needs, delivering engaging lessons in English, Maths, and Science while providing emotional guidance and encouragement. What You'll Do:

Deliver high-quality, tailored lessons that engage and motivate learners.

Provide emotional and academic support, helping students build confidence and resilience.

Encourage ambition and creativity, both inside the classroom and in wider school activities.

Monitor progress, assess learning, and adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs.

Collaborate with colleagues to plan, evaluate, and improve student outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

Teaching Qualification (QTS/QTLS) or willingness to work towards it.

Experience working in schools; secondary experience is a strong advantage.

Strong understanding of alternative provision and SEN approaches.

Passion for supporting students' ambitions and making a positive difference in their lives.

Creative and adaptable teaching approach.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, safeguarding, and well being.

Desirable

Qualifications & Skills:

Degree in a relevant subject or SEN equivalent.

Specialist teaching qualification.

Proficiency in English, Maths, and Science (minimum grade 4/C or equivalent).

Experience creating innovative and engaging learning experiences.
