A specialist SEN school in Northampton is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP. This role is ideal for someone experienced supporting pupils with ASD, complex learning needs, and physical or medical support requirements.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
• Assist with manual handling, mobility, and personal care tasks
• Deliver sensory, life skills, and communication-based learning activities
• Use visual supports, Makaton, or AAC systems where appropriate
• Promote engagement, independence, and emotional wellbeing
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet EHCP targets
• Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment

• Experience supporting pupils with ASD or complex physical and learning needs
• Patient, resilient, and compassionate
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Committed to promoting independence and positive outcomes for vulnerable pupils
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
