Job Title: SEND Teacher

Location: Thrapston, NN14

Salary: 130-180 per day, depending on experience

Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Permanent / Fixed-term

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed SEND Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive school community. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they receive high-quality, personalised teaching that enables them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs

  • Support pupils with a range of SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, challenging behaviours)

  • Develop and implement EHCP targets in collaboration with the SENDCo

  • Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, parents/carers, and external professionals

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience working with pupils with SEND (mainstream or specialist setting)

  • Strong behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
