Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Further Education college in Northamptonshire to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Academic Coach
.

No two days are ever the same in this role. As an Academic Coach, you will play a vital part in supporting students' personal development, wellbeing and academic progress.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging personal development tutorials to groups of students
  • Support students to achieve their academic and personal goals
  • Monitor attendance, identify patterns of absence and intervene appropriately
  • Use student data to inform support strategies
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and wider support services
  • Manage and prioritise a varied workload effectively

We are seeking candidates who are:

  • Enthusiastic, motivated and committed to supporting young people
  • Confident delivering sessions to groups of students
  • Comfortable analysing basic student data (e.g. attendance patterns)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks to deadlines
  • Competent using IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain
  • Willingness and ability to undertake the Level 3 Award in Education and Training
