Job Title:
Nursery Manager

The Nursery Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of two nurseries, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. This role includes overseeing staff, overseeing funding claims and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities Leadership and Management- Supervise and mentor nursery staff across both locations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance nursery operations.
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted and health and safety standards.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational programs.
- Ensure a balanced curriculum that supports cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, addressing concerns and feedback.
- Organise events and workshops to engage families and the local community.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to within both nurseries.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure proper incident reporting.
- Participate in the recruitment process for nursery staff.
- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.
Support admin staff with funding, tax free childcare claims and invoicing.
Qualifications- Education:
Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursery management or a similar role. - Certification:
Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to create a safe and stimulating environment for children.
- Good understanding of early childhood development and pedagogy.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
- Full-time position, with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities for events.
- Requires travel between the two nursery locations (both Moulton based).
