Lecturer – Electrical
Location:
Northampton
Salary:
Up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience & qualifications
Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours:
37 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support business needs.
ACS Staffing Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Lecturer – Electrical to join a well-established and forward-thinking education provider within Northamptonshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an existing Lecturer or an experienced Electrical professional looking to move into education. The organisation is very open to candidates coming directly from industry and can support individuals who are looking to transition into teaching and work towards their teaching qualifications.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and practical teaching across Electrical programmes, supporting students to develop both their theoretical understanding and hands-on industry skills within a modern learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching across the Construction – Electrical curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging lessons to full-time and part-time learners
Act as a course tutor, monitoring attendance, progress, and student development
Support students in achieving qualifications and progressing into industry careers
Participate in curriculum development to meet changing industry demands
Carry out assessment, internal verification, and quality assurance activities
Maintain positive student conduct and support safeguarding practices
Support open days, recruitment events, and employer engagement activities
Contribute to the ongoing development of resources and learning environments
The Ideal Candidate
Educated to Level 2 or Level 3 in Electrical or equivalent
Industry experience within the Construction / Electrical sector
Existing teaching experience desirable but not essential
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to engage, motivate, and support learners effectively
Organised with strong time management and administrative skills
A positive and flexible approach to teaching and learning
Willing to work towards a Teaching qualification if not already held
Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA or A1) advantageous but not essential Benefits
