Location: Northampton and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible – During School Hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Part-Time / Flexible
About the RoleWe are currently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic 1:1 Tutors to support primary and secondary-aged pupils across Northampton and the surrounding areas.
Working closely with local schools, tuition sessions will be delivered on a one-to-one basis in a variety of settings, including:
- Pupils' homes
- School settings
- Local libraries
This role is ideal for qualified teachers who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions.
- Support pupils in core subjects, including English and Maths.
- Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
- Monitor and record pupil progress.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and schools.
- Ensure all safeguarding and compliance procedures are followed.
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience within UK
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
- Experience teaching primary and/or secondary-aged pupils.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Access to reliable transport and willingness to travel within Northampton and surrounding areas.
- Previous tutoring experience.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, EHCPs, or those accessing alternative provision.
- Ability to teach across multiple key stages and subjects.
- Experience working with pupils who require additional support to engage with education.
