Lecturer - Electrical
Location:
Northamptonshire
Full-time (37 hours per week)
Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience & qualifications)
44 days holiday (including bank holidays)
About the RoleAs a Lecturer in Electrical, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of electrical courses, supporting students to build both practical and theoretical knowledge. You will also support curriculum development, student progress and the delivery of industry-relevant learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality teaching across electrical programmes
- Assess student work and monitor learner progress
- Act as a course tutor, supporting student achievement and attendance
- Deliver practical demonstrations and workshop-based learning
- Support curriculum development in line with industry demands
- Participate in student recruitment activities such as open days and careers events
- Contribute to quality assurance and internal verification processes
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion across all activities
- You will have experience within the electrical or construction industry and a passion for developing future talent.
- Whether you're already working in education or looking to move into teaching from industry, you'll be confident sharing your knowledge and supporting learners to succeed.
- You’ll be organised, approachable and able to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
- Level 2 qualification in Electrical or related area
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- Industry experience within the construction/electrical sector
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and engage learners
Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
- Level 3 Electrical qualification
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Assessor or IQA qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Experience working in FE or HE
