Full-time (37 hours per week)

Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience & qualifications)

44 days holiday (including bank holidays)

As a Lecturer in Electrical, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of electrical courses, supporting students to build both practical and theoretical knowledge. You will also support curriculum development, student progress and the delivery of industry-relevant learning experiences.

• Deliver high-quality teaching across electrical programmes
• Assess student work and monitor learner progress
• Act as a course tutor, supporting student achievement and attendance
• Deliver practical demonstrations and workshop-based learning
• Support curriculum development in line with industry demands
• Participate in student recruitment activities such as open days and careers events
• Contribute to quality assurance and internal verification processes
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion across all activities

• You will have experience within the electrical or construction industry and a passion for developing future talent.
• Whether you're already working in education or looking to move into teaching from industry, you'll be confident sharing your knowledge and supporting learners to succeed.
• You’ll be organised, approachable and able to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.

• Level 2 qualification in Electrical or related area
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
• Industry experience within the construction/electrical sector
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate and engage learners
  
  Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification

• Level 3 Electrical qualification
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
• Assessor or IQA qualification, or willingness to work towards one
• Experience working in FE or HE
