Skills:
Ability to engage learners and support their ambitions, bringing fresh ideas and creativity into and out of the classroom. - Emotional Support: Passion for positively impacting students’ lives.
- Academic Background: Degree in a relevant teaching subject (equivalent for SEN desirable).
- Core Teaching
Qualifications:
QTS/QTLS or willingness to work towards it; specialist teaching qualification desirable. - Experience: Work experience in a school environment, with secondary school experience an advantage.
- Teaching Subjects: Proficiency in English, Maths and Science, with a minimum of grade 4/C.
- Knowledge: Understanding of alternative provision and working with students with special needs.
- Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical skills and effective decision‑making.
- Communication: Professional communication with students and staff.
- Promotion of Values: Commitment to equality, diversity, safeguarding, wellbeing and British values.
- Time Management: Effective planning, delivery and assessment time management.
At the Northampton school, we have a bright and colourful recreational area where students can enjoy their downtime. Our four classrooms are equipped with interactive smart boards or projectors, enabling innovative resources. Students are Key Stage 3 and 4, all at least 13 years of age.
