Work Placement Officer

Job Purpose

Find work placements and industry placements for students.
Help students gain useful real-world experience linked to their course and future career.
Build relationships with employers to arrange placements, careers talks, masterclasses, interview practice and virtual work experience.

Main Duties

Contact employers to source suitable work placement opportunities.
Check employers can offer proper supervision and a safe working environment.
Work with teaching teams to match students with relevant placement opportunities.
Keep accurate records of placement hours, employer activity and compliance checks.
Make sure students are prepared before starting placements, including paperwork and training. Requirements

Experience in a professional setting with customer service skills.
Confident contacting and building relationships with employers and clients.
Good understanding of health and safety requirements for work placements.
Organised, confident communicator who can manage records, solve problems and support students professionally.
Willing to complete a new Enhanced DBS check as required.
