At Simply Education, we are dedicated to improving outcomes for young people who need it most. We are currently partnering with schools and local authorities across Northamptonshire and are seeking committed and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils within specialist schools.
OverviewYou will work closely with children and young people who have a range of additional needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) challenges. Your support will help pupils engage in learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.
We support learners with a variety of needs, including:
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Provide tailored support to pupils in line with their individual needs.
- Assist with the delivery of learning activities and interventions.
- Support student engagement, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, tutors, and other professionals.
- Record progress and provide feedback on student development.
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND or SEMH settings.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to provide two professional references.
- Background in Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN support, youth work, care work, therapy, or educational support services is welcome.
