KS1 & KS2 Tutor Support Young Learners Through Personalised Education

We're looking for a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to support primary-aged children across West Sussex through tailored 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities
, you'll provide personalised support to learners who require additional educational provision. Many of the children we work with benefit from a nurturing and engaging approach that helps develop core skills, build confidence, and encourage positive engagement with learning.

We're particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:

  • Crawley
  • Worthing
  • Horsham
  • Chichester
  • Bognor Regis
  • Littlehampton

Location: West Sussex

Key Stages: KS1 & KS2

Start Date: September

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: 25- 30 per hour

Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting
    , including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
  • Experience supporting primary-aged children
  • Good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
  • Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Patient, positive, and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • ADHD
  • Anxiety and school avoidance
  • Speech, language, and communication needs
  • EHCPs and additional educational needs
