English Teacher

Part-Time | 0.8 FTE (4 Days) | October Half Term Start | Until Easter 2027 | KS3-KS4

Simply Education is working with a secondary school in Central Northampton that is looking for an experienced English Teacher to join the school after the October half term.

This is a 0.8 position, working four days per week, and will run until Easter 2027, with the potential for the role to continue beyond this.

The successful teacher will be teaching KS3 and KS4 English, within a school that also teaches through to KS5. As the role includes full planning, preparation, marking and assessment responsibilities, the position will be paid to scale.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
Have strong classroom management skills
Have excellent lesson planning and delivery skills
Be passionate about teaching and supporting students to achieve
Be creative, flexible and adaptable in their approach
Have ambition and drive to become an outstanding classroom practitioner
Have excellent communication skills
Be reliable, hardworking and committed
Be eligible to work in the UK
