Make a Difference Through One-to-One Tuition
TP Tutors is looking for passionate, dedicated, and experienced tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition to children and young people across Northampton and the surrounding areas.
Tuition may take place in pupils' homes, schools, or alternative education settings during school hours. You will support learners with additional educational needs, gaps in education, exam preparation, and specialist SEND requirements.
Whether you are a qualified teacher, experienced tutor, or SEND specialist, this is an excellent opportunity to help pupils build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their educational goals.
The RoleAs a Tutor, you will deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet each learner's individual needs, abilities, and learning style. You will help pupils improve academic performance, develop confidence, and make measurable progress.
Assignments may cover Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, Alternative Provision, and SEND tuition.
Subjects We CoverWe welcome tutors with experience in one or more of the following:
- English, Mathematics, and Science
- Literacy and Numeracy
- Primary National Curriculum
- GCSE subjects
- Functional Skills
- Humanities and Modern Foreign Languages
- Computing and Creative Arts
- Other National Curriculum subjects
- Deliver engaging one-to-one lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Plan and prepare high-quality, differentiated learning activities.
- Assess progress and provide written feedback after each session.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different abilities and learning styles.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, schools, and professionals.
- Support academic progress, confidence, and engagement.
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.
- Minimum of two years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
- Knowledge or experience of Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, or SEND education.
- Strong lesson planning, assessment, communication, and behaviour management skills.
- Reliable access to transport and the ability to travel across Northampton and surrounding areas.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- QTS, PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
Experience supporting learners with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, SLCN, EHCPs, SEND, Alternative Provision, or home tuition would be highly advantageous.

This role covers Northampton and surrounding areas. Tutors must be able to travel reliably to pupils' homes, schools, and alternative education settings during school hours, Monday to Friday.
