Project Manager, Power Plant ​/ Engineering

Our client is a leading provider of bespoke power generation and standby power solutions across the UK. Due to winning a major new contract, they are looking to recruit a Project Manager with experience in the power generation or diesel generator (genset) industry. This is a primarily office-based role in Northampton with occasional site visits, where business mileage is paid.

• Manage generator installation projects from order through to completion
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, production and installation teams
• Act as the main point of contact for customers
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification
• Monitor project costs and progress
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and commissioning engineers
• Produce project documentation and reports
• Support commissioning and final project handover
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained
• Occasional UK site visits when required

• Project Management experience within power generation or diesel generators
• Good knowledge of generator installations and standby power systems
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience managing project budgets and timelines
• Commercial awareness
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM regulations
• Full UK Driving Licence
